Christian Chijioke Ekeigwe is a CPA and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) who leverages nearly four decades of experience to provide a variety of audit-related services to diverse clientele. He is the founder of EDP Audit & Security Associates in Lagos, Nigeria, through which he has utilized pioneering and innovative IT auditing to help clients save money, most notably helping one client to save $110 million from unnoticed income leakages due to legacy errors. Christian Chijioke Ekeigwe founded the firm in 1992.
Christian Chijioke Ekeigwe is also the founder and chairman of the Audit Committee Institute, a nonprofit he created in 2009 to help identify and improve deficiencies and talent gaps in Nigeria's corporate governance space. He develops and administers coursework and delivers presentations at various conferences to bolster audit committee talent in the region.
Before creating his own firm, he worked at Akintola Williams Deloitte & Touche's offices in Nigeria and participated in its Manager on International Exchange Program, spending 18 months in Boston, Massachusetts. He also managed an Akintola Williams Deloitte & Touche branch in Owerri, Nigeria. He belongs to several professional organizations, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
